What does Loam actually do?
Loam moves money between businesses across borders, holds balances in stablecoins, currently USDC, and converts them to and from local currencies — one platform for cross-border settlement. Loam is not a bank.
Who's it built for?
Businesses moving money across emerging markets — banks, remittance groups, treasuries, trade finance houses, PSPs, payroll, iGaming and insurance.
How does Loam handle compliance?
Loam is not a bank. Every organisation must complete KYB verification before it can send or withdraw funds.*

Where does Loam operate?
Loam covers 35 markets across 7 regions — East Africa, West Africa, Southern Africa (SADC), Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Europe (including the SEPA euro area). Direct bank rails are available in these countries today: Kenya and South Africa; everywhere else Loam arranges the transfer for you.
What can I hold and settle in?
Balances are held in USDC. You fund in local currency and receive local-currency payout across live corridors.
What does it take to get started?
Once your organisation has passed KYB verification, you can fund and settle. Fees are presented before you confirm a transaction.
